INSERM research director at the Langevin Institute ESPCI Paris, Mickaël developed with his team new therapy techniques and medical imaging, including, for example, non-invasive treatment of brain disorders with transcranial focused ultrasound (Equipex Ultrabrain) or a new brain imaging technique: the »fUltrasound » (functional brain Ultrasound). This imaging technique based on the study of blood flow can detect changes in cerebral activity. His works led to the creation of a French company, Supersonic Imagine, which markets a scanner that can distinguish the tissue elasticity and variations and identify cancerous tumors. He also founded in 2015 Cardiawave that develops a revolutionary non-invasive medical device to treat a heart condition calledaortic stenosis. Mickaël Tanter is a member of the scientific council of the Ile de France, deputy director of the Langevin Institute, winner of Equipex with his team.
