Co-founder, President of Scientific Advisory Board
NRS Research Director at the Laboratory of Physics and Mechanics of Heterogeneous Environments (PMMH), UMR7636 CNRS, and at ESPCI, Jean-Luc is a specialist in fluid mechanics and flow control. Jean-Luc worked for 7 years in the Aerodynamics research unit of the Research and Innovation Department of PSA Peugeot-Citroën as the head of a research and innovation project. He joined the CNRS in October 2005 where he developed research programs in the field of flow control, external aerodynamic instabilities, and transition to turbulence and micro-flows. Jean-Luc demonstrated the potential of the acoustic manipulation of particles for metrological applications (micro-PIV). Jean-Luc also discovered that acoustic streaming in micro-channels can be used beyond the conventional resonance condition in order to create a « sound tweezer » that enables the fine handling of species in suspension.
