Scientific Advisory Board Member

Miguel Lozano, MD, PhD is Hematologist. He is currently Hemotherapy Section Head at the department of Hemotherapy and Hemostasis of the Clínic University Hospital, and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Barcelona, in Barcelona, Spain. He is also President of the European Society for Hemapheresis, European Regional Director of the ISBT Board and chair of the AABB Press Editorial Board. He has been scientific member of BEST Collaborative since 2002. He is the author or co-author of over 200 papers, monographs and book chapters dealing with topics related with Transfusion Medicine and Hemostasis. He has co-edited books for AABB Press about Globalization in Transfusion Medicine, Blood Component Preparation and Platelet Transfusion Therapy.
